Announcing: Rally Mic Pod 2 with Rally Board 65
We introduced Rally Board 65 in 2025 as an ultra-flexible all-in-one solution. Not only can it easily convert an open table area into a collaboration space, but it’s also incredibly easy to deploy in standard meeting spaces to add video conferencing. For customers deploying Rally Board 65 in larger, longer meeting rooms, one of the top requests we get is the ability to extend voice pickup; not only to address more acoustically challenging environments with cement walls and glass, but also to provide easy access to system-mute at the end of the table. To address this, we are introducing Rally Mic Pod 2. These mic pods extend studio-quality voice pickup and RightSound 2 audio processing for meeting rooms with Rally Board 65. By minimizing background noise and clarifying quieter voices, RightSound 2 ensures that everyone can be heard clearly, even in rooms with difficult acoustics. Here are all the highlights about Mic Pod 2: Hear Every Voice: Extend the reach of RightSound 2 intelligent audio into larger spaces. It eliminates distractions while bringing clarity to quieter, more muffled voices—delivering the same great audio experience found in Rally Bar and Rally Board, just extended through the mic pods. Simplified Connections: No need for additional couplers or adapters. Simply connect a standard Category cable, connect to the back of Rally Board 65, and you’re done! Daisychain up to two Mic Pods to extend the distance and ensure maximum confidence for voice pickup. Clean and Secure Cabling: Route cables cleanly straight down or through either end of the mic pods, or use with Mic Pod Mount to secure the setup to tables or to ceilings. Adjusted for Ceilings: These Mic Pods automatically detect when they’re upside down, and are tuned to ensure they always sound great. (Stay tuned for updates on pendant mounting) Centralized Management: Easily manage, configure, and update Rally Mic Pod 2 directly in Logitech Sync, right alongside the rest of your Logitech devices and spaces. Compatibility Note: Rally Mic Pod 2 only works with Rally Board 65. Customers with Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini will continue to use the original Rally Mic Pods, as the two generations cannot be mixed and matched. Add Rally Mic Pod 2 to your spaces with Rally Board 65 to expand the conversation, bringing studio-quality voice pickup to even more spaces. Learn more here. DECT vs Bluetooth: Logitech Proves Bluetooth Can Handle High-Density Offices
For decades, offices have relied on DECT technology for secure, reliable wireless audio performance. But in the past six years, improvements in Bluetooth audio technology have closed the gap on the advantages of DECT. In Logitech’s new whitepaper, “From DECT to Bluetooth: Rethinking Enterprise Wireless Audio”, we put the Zone Wireless 2 headset to the ultimate test to prove that modern Bluetooth isn’t just “good enough” for the enterprise, it might actually be better. Putting Zone to the Test To demonstrate the robustness of modern Bluetooth in high-density environments, we conducted three tests comparing DECT headsets to Zone Wireless 2, our top-of-the-line business headset built for power users wherever and however they may work. The Extreme Stress Test: In a controlled lab environment, we created a “worst-case scenario” with 50 active headsets in a tight space with heavy Wi-Fi interference to see how they performed under immense pressure. Real-World Corporate Test: We gave headsets to 110 employees at a high-traffic financial services office for a full workday to provide insights on usability, satisfaction, and performance against the unpredictability of a real corporate workday. The Scalability Test: We teamed up with Intel to compare the performance of native Bluetooth vs. dongles as the number of active users scaled from one to 24. The Verdict: Four Reasons to Rethink Your Enterprise Setups The data is in, and the performance gap that once favored DECT has officially closed. After analyzing results from the three tests, we’ve identified four findings that prove modern Bluetooth, and specifically Zone Wireless 2, is ready for the enterprise. Finding 1: Audio That Holds Up Even under the most strenuous conditions, Bluetooth audio remains robust and clear. Zone Wireless 2 maintained high-quality audio and mic performance, based on objective and subjective test results, and call quality was on par with DECT. Finding 2: Proven Stability Bluetooth connection proves to be highly stable. In our scalability test, error rates stayed well below the “good experience” threshold, even in crowded rooms. Finding 3: Less Disruptive We discovered that Bluetooth dropout behavior is ultimately less disruptive. While DECT dropped connections were less frequent, dropout times could be up to 1.6 seconds. Bluetooth interruptions are so short (less than 0.6 seconds), you may not even notice them. Finding 4: Exceeding Enterprise Expectations Our real-word corporate test proved that Zone Wireless 2 is built for how people actually work today. Features like multi-device connections and flip-to-mute microphones significantly enhance workflows while superior range lets users roam from their desks up to 115 feet. Download the full whitepaper here to learn more about the tests, results, and why now is the time to invest in Logitech Zone Bluetooth headsets for your organization. Expanding on Interoperability: Google Meet on ChromeOS
Not too long ago, we shared an exciting update about interoperability for rooms running Google Meet on Android. This feature broke down barriers between platforms, enabling employees to join Zoom and WebEx meetings directly from the Tap meeting controller. Now, that interoperability story expands with Google Meet in ChromeOS-based meeting rooms. In this latest update, Google and Logitech are extending the flexibility and simplicity of cross-platform collaboration even further. You can now join ad-hoc or scheduled Microsoft Teams meetings from Google Meet on ChromeOS from the Tap controller. This is how it works: To join a Microsoft Teams call, you just have to enter the meeting room ID and password. To schedule a Microsoft Teams meeting for the Google Meet room, you have to add the desired Google Meet room to the meeting invitation. For more details, be sure to check out this guide. What this means is that employees can now join meetings on the Microsoft Teams platform even if they are in a room that is provisioned to Google Meet on ChromeOS. Meetings just got even simpler and smarter. For administrators, this feature will be on by default in Google Admin console; you will have the flexibility to toggle this setting. This new feature enhances your existing Logitech device on Google Meet platform, offering a more integrated and native solution for cross-platform meetings. So whether your organization's rooms are deployed for Android-based or ChromeOS, the goal remains the same: simplifying collaboration. This feature is now available. Logitech provides multiple interoperability paths through both hardware and software. Additionally, built-in software-based solutions like Zoom Interop, Google Meet Interoperability, and Direct Guest Join with Microsoft Teams, offer a simple way for employees to join cross platform meetings with essential-only meeting controls. For teams that need additional flexibility, Pexip Connect adds a software-based interop option that builds on the native room experience and gives users access to more in-meeting functionality when joining cross-platform calls. Our latest release of CollabOS continues to transform and evolve the virtual conference space. Experience clearer conversations, more visibility, customized ways to manage deployments, and more. Here are the latest features in this release: Dual Sight Coverage Logitech Sight, the only front-and-center solution certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet, redefined how remote participants engage with people in the room by placing a camera and mic right in the middle of the table. By capturing faces and voices from where the conversation happens, Sight makes it easier for remote attendees to follow the discussion and see in-room participants more clearly. Many teams found it so effective that they wanted the option to add a second Sight for more coverage and better visibility in larger rooms. With CollabOS 1.15, you can now daisy chain a second Sight to broadcast up to eight individuals, along with a dedicated room view. Just power the second Sight, connect it to the first, and you’re ready to go. Dual Sight is currently in beta and works across Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and BYOD deployments in both Android and PC mode. For camera settings and platform-specific behavior, be sure to check out our configuration guide. People Recognition in Microsoft Teams We’ve been working closely with Microsoft Teams to usher in the AI-powered workplace. We started with Speaker Recognition, helping teams keep better track of in-room conversations by linking spoken dialogue to the right individuals. Then, with CollabOS 1.14, we launched multi-stream support—making Logitech the first and only OEM to deliver a total of five streams from a video bar. Now, we’re adding a whole new layer to the AI-powered conference room: People Recognition. Available for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows with multi-stream, People Recognition identifies in-room participants and displays their names on individual tiles, making it easier for remote attendees to see who’s in the room. Paired with Speaker Recognition, Teams Rooms can now capture who’s in the room and who said what—enabling better understanding, more accurate notes, and more actionable follow-ups. Be sure to check out our guide for setup and more information. New Improvements to RightSound 2 Audio RightSound 2, our suite of algorithms designed to enhance vocal clarity by suppressing distracting noises, equalizing voice volumes, and eliminating echoes, just got another upgrade, making it better than ever. This means less background noise and echo, and better vocal clarity—so everyone in the room sounds clear to remote participants, no matter where they sit or which way they face. Be sure to watch our demo to hear the latest improvements in action. Updated Interfaces and Custom Branding for Logitech Booking Solutions Logitech Desk and Room Booking now offer a more cohesive and customizable experience. The refreshed desk booking interface delivers a streamlined, consistent look across devices, making it easier for employees to find and reserve spaces. IT admins can now upload custom backgrounds for desk booking displays and add company logos to Logitech View, reinforcing organizational branding throughout the workplace. We've also added support for labeling rooms without calendars—like kitchens, lounges, or executive offices—so they can be clearly identified without showing availability. CollabOS and Sync APIS Logitech APIs give IT teams the flexibility to build custom solutions and integrate device data into their own dashboards, workflows, and workplace systems. Whether you need local, on-device data with the free CollabOS API or fleet-wide data through the cloud-based Sync API, you have the information for your custom solution.
