Bringing Intelligent Director to Appliance Zoom Rooms with Rally Bar and Sight
In today’s meeting, seamless and engaging face-to-face conversations are essential. That’s why we are excited to announce the first and only certified intelligent director solution for appliance-based Zoom Rooms! With Logitech Rally Bar and Sight, Logitech together with Zoom are delivering a more immersive meeting experience for remote participants. What Is Logitech Sight? Sight is a companion camera designed to work alongside Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini to give remote participants a front-and-center experience during video conference meetings. Today, when "Speaker Focus" mode is selected in a Zoom Room, Sight—positioned at the center of the table—captures in-room conversations as they happen across the table, with a view of the room displayed at the bottom of the tile. Then, as participants turn toward the front of the room, individual people’s tiles switch from Sight to Rally Bar. We call this Smart Switching—and it ensures remote participants always get a consistent, front-facing view of in-room participants. Zoom’s Intelligent Director with Rally Bar and Sight Now, starting with CollabOS 1.14, when intelligent director mode is selected in a Zoom Room, the individual participants and the contextual room view are split into two separate tiles. This larger, independent room view enlarges the details and allows remote participants to rearrange both individual tiles to curate an experience that works for them. Additionally, Admins can set this as the default camera mode for these rooms. What’s Next: Dual Sight Coverage With CollabOS 1.15, we’re taking things up a notch, enabling IT teams to daisy-chain one Sight device to another-allowing up to two Sight devices in a room for expanded coverage. This will bring three distinct video feeds to the intelligent director experience: two capturing individuals around the table and one providing a room-wide view. The result—greater coverage and more individual representation. Try It Out Today Intelligent director with Rally Bar and Sight is now available for Zoom Rooms on CollabOS 1.14 or later. RoomMate Certification and Compatibility Information
Updated: 1/29/2026 This document provides information on the functionality and certification status of RoomMate. Notes: For more information on the list of certified hardware recommended by the service provider, please visit Team Rooms Certified Hardware or Zoom Room Certified Hardware webpage. If you are using Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android App (MTRoA), RoomMate will not support multiple audio devices within the app. If you are using a camera/microphone/speaker device you will be unable to use a 3rd party mic/speaker device as the audio selection will default to the initially connected device. RoomMate uses standard USB HID commands to send volume control and mute commands to USB audio devices. Logitech only verifies volume control and mute sync functionality on Certified Hardware and Verified Audio Hardware. If volume control or mute sync are not working on any other whitelisted audio devices, we recommend reaching out directly to the device OEM's support. Sight with CollabOS Sight requires a Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini running the latest version of CollabOS. Follow the Sight hardware setup instructions. When connected, the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini will automatically update the Sight to the latest firmware. For dual Sight setups, follow the instructions in the section Updating Sight. Once detected, Sight(s) will appear under Settings > Peripherals on the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini Sight extends RightSight 2 framing technology, inheriting camera settings from the connected Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini Sight Framing Behavior Sight dynamically adapts its framing behavior to in-room participant activity: Sight frames a speaker after they have spoken for 1–2 seconds. Sight stops framing a speaker about 45 seconds after they stop speaking. If no one is speaking, Sight frames the four (4) participants furthest from the front-of-room camera. If several speakers stop speaking at once, Sight tracks these speakers as a group and stops framing them after ~60 seconds. If microphones are muted, framing ceases, and the view from the front-of-room camera of the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini is used. If only one person is in the room, Sight will not frame them. The view from the front-of-room camera of the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini is used instead. The image quality of camera views from the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini front-of-room camera and Sight cameras may differ. Factors such as the distance between the devices, distance from a camera to an in-room participant, and presence (or absence) of lighting sources in a camera’s field of view may cause these differences. Future CollabOS updates will aim to minimize image quality variability. Smart Switching Smart Switching dynamically provides the best view of in-room participants depending on the direction they are facing. Smart Switching will automatically choose a participant’s best view between the front-of-room camera and Sight (center-of-table) camera. In a dual Sight deployment, Smart Switching is only used for in-room participants in the field of view of the Sight closest to the front-of-room camera. Participants facing each other across the table will be framed by Sight. Participants facing the front of the room to address remote attendees will typically be framed by the front-of-room camera (Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini). Participants seated at the head of the table will only be framed by Sight (green). This ensures that participants further away from the front-of-room camera are captured by the Sight camera, which will produce the best image quality. Sight Placement To ensure proper in-room participant framing, the Sight must be placed at a specific distance from the front-of-room-camera. Single Sight: minimum 1m, up to 4m, from Rally Bar/Mini Sight and Camera Zone Camera Zone settings are automatically enabled when a Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini is deployed with Sight or dual Sights and the system is using a camera mode that includes the Sight(s). These settings apply to the front-of-room camera, causing its field of view to match the range of Sight’s cameras to facilitate Smart Switching. Dual Sight Support (Beta) Dual Sight deployment extends coverage for longer tables or larger rooms by connecting two Sight cameras to Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini, permitting broader participant framing with multiple camera angles. Requirements Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini CollabOS version 1.15+ Two (2) Logitech Sight cameras CollabOS version 1.15+. For additional information about updating a Sight, consult the section Updating Sight. Follow the Sight Wiring Diagrams for proper setup Sight Placement To ensure proper in-room participant framing, the Sights must be placed at a specific distance from the front-of-room-camera and each other. First Sight: 2.5m from Rally Bar/Mini Second Sight: 2.5m from the first Sight To avoid duplication of in-room participants in video streams, in-room participant seating positions should not straddle the area between the two Sight fields of view (see diagram) In-room participants no more than 7m from Rally Bar/Mini Sight In Zoom Rooms Sight is certified for Zoom Rooms Appliances as a Panoramic Camera. Known Issues & Limitations General You must follow device placement distances - first Sight 2.5m from Rally Bar/Mini, and second Sight 2.5m from first Sight. Video When someone sits between the two Sight devices in a dual Sight deployment, the system may fail to detect them or may detect them in both camera streams simultaneously. When using Zoom Rooms Intelligent Director camera mode with two Sight devices connected to a Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini, the second Sight device (furthest from the Rally Bar) will continue sending its video stream to the Zoom meeting even when no people are detected in its view. 3.6 External USB audio support on CollabOS devices
RoomMate RoomMate supports audio using either the Rally System bundle or MeetUp. When using a dedicated camera-only product, you can use a third-party external audio device, such as a USB audio digital signal processor (DSP), as the primary microphone and speaker. This enables RoomMate to work in large room spaces where multiple microphones are required, along with a speaker solution that allows remote participants to be heard throughout the space. RoomMate supports external USB audio by default, so there's no dedicated CollabOS setting to enable it. For additional details on supported audio devices and compatibility, check out this article. Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini From CollabOS 1.11 onwards, Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini support using a 3rd-party external audio device, such as a USB audio digital signal processor (DSP), as the primary microphone and speaker. This feature expands the use of Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini to a wider array of meeting room spaces than was previously possible. When enabled, the 3rd-party external audio device becomes the primary microphone and speaker, and the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini built-in speakers and microphones are disabled. Before activating this feature, please ensure that the 3rd-party external audio device can perform appropriately in the room setting, including features such as automatic echo cancellation (AEC), automatic gain control (AGC) and background noise suppression (NS), as CollabOS audio processing capabilities are disabled when a 3rd-party external audio device is used. To see a list of Logitech Verified Hardware visit here. Supported Devices: Rally Bar & Rally Bar Mini running CollabOS 1.11.248 or higher. Supported Service Provider: Zoom Rooms appliance mode Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android Known Limitations CollabOS audio processing capabilities including automatic echo cancellation (AEC), automatic gain control (AGC) and background noise suppression (NS) are not applied when external audio is enabled. These capabilities must be provided by the 3rd-party external audio device. RightSight 2 Speaker View is not available when external audio is enabled. Logitech Sight will not function when external audio is enabled. External audio is not supported in BYOD mode. Enabling External Audio in CollabOS Settings To enable external audio on your device, follow these steps: Go to Logitech CollabOS settings. Select Display and Audio. Click on Audio. Turn on External Audio and confirm the activation prompt. Note: Your device will reboot and the settings will be applied. Enabling External Audio on Local Network Access (LNA) Log in to your Local Network Access portal. Select Display and Audio. Click on Audio. Enable External Audio. Note: Your device will reboot and the settings will be applied. Frequently Asked Questions Will Mute Sync and Volume Control work? Yes, we have verified that Mute Sync and Volume Control work for BiAmp, Shure, and Q-SYS devices. In some cases, it may be necessary to make changes in the DSP device settings/designer files. For other USB audio devices, these features will work, as long as they comply with the USB HID standard for audio control. Why am I seeing "This room is not available"? If you see the message "This room is not available," it could be because the built-in microphone and speaker are selected as the default for Zoom Room through Zoom settings or ZDM. Enabling External Audio will disable the built-in microphone and speaker and reboot the device. If Zoom's preferred devices are not present, the message "This room is not available" will appear. To resolve this issue, change the preferred devices in Zoom Rooms settings or Zoom admin portal. Why is audio processing unavailable on Rally Bar / Rally Bar Mini when external audio is enabled? If you are using Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini and external audio is enabled, audio processing will no longer be available. The connected third-party audio devices must handle audio processing, such as automatic echo cancellation (AEC), automatic gain control (AGC) and background noise suppression (NS). 1.5 How to Update CollabOS Devices
